Beside embedding Yahoo Pingbox, there’s another way to let visitors be able to chat with you in real time, that is adding Yahoo Messenger Button. The steps are more simpler than creating Pingbox, and you can add the button to your website or any other web blogging platform. If you are looking for a colourful widget for your messenger then Yahoo Messenger Pingbox will probably you are looking for, but it might need more space from your site.

To create Yahoo Messenger Button for your site, you need to copy the following code and paste it on your website or blog:

<a href="ymsgr:sendIM?Your Yahoo Messenger ID"><img border=0 src="http://opi.yahoo.com/online?u=Your Yahoo Messenger ID&m=g&t=1" /> </a>

You have to replace “Your Yahoo Messenger ID” with your actual Yahoo Messenger ID. There are different styles of the button you can choose by changing the “t” value in above code to 0, 1, 2, and 5. Below images are the types of the button that you can use for your sites.
Add Yahoo Messenger Button to Your Website
Whenever a visitor wants to interact with you, he can click on the button and add you on Yahoo Messenger. The disadvantage of using Yahoo Messenger Button is that your visitors need to have Yahoo Messenger installed in their computer so that they can chat with you. If you want your visitors to be able to chat with you without having to install any application, then you should try Yahoo Pingbox.
